How we store, use and protect your personal information

We appreciate the importance of responsible use of your personal information we hold and this statement explains how we collect your details, what we use them for and who we may need to share them with.

 
Where we get your information from:

We collect personal information about you from a number of sources, including

  • Directly from you when you donate furniture, cycles and other goods for re-use to St Paul’s Centre

  • Directly from you when you purchase goods at St Paul’s Centre

  • Directly from you when you make a financial donation to St Paul’s Centre or become a Friend of St Paul’s Centre

  • Directly from you if you volunteer at St Paul’s Centre

  • Directly from you with relation to day service placements or work experience placements at St Paul’s Centre

  • From Social Services or other services, educational or care establishments with relation to day service placements or work experience placements at St Paul’s Centre

  • From Cheshire East Council if you have booked a bulky waste collection which St Paul’s Centre is contracted to collect

  • From our referring agents if you have been successful in securing an emergency furniture or food parcel referral from St Paul’s Centre

 

What we use your information for:

We may use your information for the following reasons:

  • Collect donated goods as arranged with you

  • Deliver goods obtained through purchase or via referral as arranged with you

  • Contact you upon delivery and completion of furniture referrals for feedback and to provide support if necessary

  • As evidence, if necessary, of re-use activity in our application for re-use credits from Cheshire East Council

  • Create statistics, test computer systems, analyse use and provision of our services to assess social return on investment

  • To help to prevent over-use of or reliance on our referral systems

  • To up-date you on our work and inform you of forthcoming events if you have subscribed to our quarterly newsletter and / or are a ‘Friend of St Paul’s’

  • To thank you if you have made a financial donation to St Paul’s Centre

 

Who we might disclose your information to:
  • Suppliers who act on our behalf to deliver certain items requested by you on referral which we don’t stock at St Paul’s Centre

Safety and Security

All personal information we obtain directly from you of from our partners / referring agents is securely stored. We only ask for information that is directly relevant to and necessary for the delivery of our service to you. We only share personal information if this is necessary for the delivery of our service to you, or to secure additional support as agreed with you in advance.

Please remember that communications over the Internet, such as emails and messages sent through a website (webmail), are not secure unless they have been encrypted. We cannot accept responsibility for any loss of personal information that is communicated in this way.

We will never ask you to send us payment card details by email.

If you do get such a request that appears to come from us, please forward it to admin@stpaulscentre.org.uk  for us to investigate.
